At the recent Budapest Grand Prix, Max Verstappen’s frustration reached a boiling point. Competing with McLaren in his upgraded RB20, which he called “not good enough”, he made his feelings clear.
Verstappen’s mood worsened after running wide on the opening lap and having to give P2 back to Lando Norris. His strategy further aggravated him as he felt he was let down by his team.
In a heated radio message, Verstappen blasted his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, exclaiming, “No mate, don’t give me that s***. You guys gave me this s*** strategy, okay? I’m trying to rescue what’s left. F***!” This was just the first of his outbursts.
