As the team worked tirelessly through the night, they managed to restore the vehicle to its former state, minus a change in the power unit. By Saturday morning, Alpine confirmed the car was ready for FP3, signifying the dedication and expertise behind the scenes to keep the competition alive.

Doohan’s FP3 session was crucial; he had seen little track time after initially handing over his car for a young driver session and then crashing. As a result, this session was essential for his preparation for the qualifying rounds.
