Toto Wolff’s recent interview has hinted at a shift in the Mercedes F1 lineup for 2025. Here’s what we’ve gathered:

Guenther Steiner has confidently predicted that Kimi Antonelli will make his Formula 1 debut with Mercedes in the 2025 season alongside George Russell.

This speculation arose after Lewis Hamilton decided to leave Mercedes one year into his two-year deal, triggering a lineup change.

Initially, rumors were swirling about Carlos Sainz swapping teams with Hamilton, but that seems to be off the table now.

Kimi Antonelli, a rising star in Formula 2, has become the frontrunner to join Mercedes. At just 17 years old, Antonelli has already made waves by securing two wins in the last two rounds at Silverstone and Hungary.

Steiner believes that if Antonelli joins Mercedes, Carlos Sainz will likely move to Alpine to replace Esteban Ocon.

In a recent podcast, Steiner voiced his opinion that Sainz won’t be joining Mercedes or Red Bull, despite numerous rumors.

He also believes that Red Bull is more likely to promote Liam Lawson if they decide to part ways with Sergio Perez.

Steiner suggested that Valtteri Bottas, currently with Sauber, could return to Williams to team up with Alex Albon. “Bottas cannot show what he can do because his car is just not good enough,” Steiner remarked.

It looks like the 2025 F1 season will bring several exciting changes to the grid.
