Max Verstappen has always been a dominant force in Formula 1, bagging 34 Grand Prix wins over the past two seasons and securing two additional titles to become a three-time World Champion. However, recent competition has raised questions about his future with Red Bull.

Despite the competition being tougher this season, with Verstappen winning five out of eight races, there have been some speculations due to Red Bull’s performance compared to rivals like Ferrari. Red Bull is currently 24 points ahead of Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship, while Verstappen leads Charles Leclerc by 31 points in the Drivers’ standings. Guenther Steiner, former Haas team boss, remarked that Red Bull is not in decline but their rivals are catching up.

Max Verstappen has been vocal about his loyalty to Red Bull, emphasizing how much the team’s loyalty means to him. His current contract runs until the end of 2028, and he has often pointed out that Red Bull has the fastest car. When recently asked if he would consider switching teams if Red Bull’s dominance ends, Verstappen was clear in his response. “Well, it doesn’t work like that,” he told the official F1 website. “I mean, I think we still have a very, very fast car, and if you look at the average of the season so far, I think we do have the fastest car. Otherwise, you’re not leading the championship.”

He went on to express his contentment with his current situation, saying, “I’m happy where I’m at. There’s so much investment going on as well with the engine side of things, and I’m happy. We just need to keep on working, keep on trying to improve our package. But yeah, that’s the only thing that I’m thinking about at the moment.”

Addressing the idea of switching teams based on performance fluctuations, Verstappen noted, “I mean, I think if you start thinking like that, you can almost change at one point every single race if you want to change to another team or whatever. But it’s not on my mind.”

Max Verstappen’s commitment to Red Bull remains strong despite the challenges. While other teams may be closing the gap, Verstappen is focused on continuous improvement with Red Bull, dismissing any thoughts of switching teams for now.
