Despite these suspicions, Pirelli, the official tyre supplier, found no irregularities, which only slightly quelled the concerns.
Amidst this backdrop of speculation, Toto Wolff, the head of Mercedes, has voiced strong support for McLaren. He confidently stated that he has “no doubt” about McLaren’s compliance with regulations. According to Wolff, the team led by Zak Brown, Andrea Stella, and Rob Marshall is built on integrity. Wolff emphasized his belief that it’s unfair to accuse teams of cheating just because they’ve excelled, advocating instead for other teams to focus on improving their performance.
