Zhou Guanyu’s journey at the Austrian Grand Prix took an unforeseen turn, with decisions made by his team altering his race day strategy entirely. Initially, Zhou had a tough run during qualifying at the Red Bull Ring, clocking in as the slowest among the drivers and failing to move beyond Q1. His performance saw him trailing his teammate Valtteri Bottas by two-tenths of a second, which placed him at a disadvantage right from the start.
Discussing his challenging day, Zhou acknowledged that the track wasn’t in their favor compared to their performance in Barcelona.
